Volunteer Opportunities for Global Poverty

7th November @ 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Free

This event is a free-to-attend informational event covering volunteer opportunities to impact global poverty through the non-profit the Borgen Project. The event will cover the volunteer and remote internship opportunities available through the Borgen Project, as well as opportunities to impact global poverty without committing long-term to a volunteer position.

The meeting will be held by a current Borgen Project intern on the Political Affairs team but will cover volunteer and intern opportunities in different sectors. The event is open to anyone, including students, families, and whoever is interested! I will cover an introduction to the Borgen Project’s mission and activities, a brief look into the importance of advocacy in reducing global poverty and conclude with a variety of ways individuals can volunteer or make a difference in their everyday lives. There are so many ways to get involved through tools on the Borgen Project’s website to advocate for causes you care about!

The information session will take place at Chapel Hill Public Library in Meeting Room C on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 2:00PM, and it will last approximately 30 minutes.
